1. Eligibility:

1.1 The competition is open to individuals who are residents of South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Mozambique, and who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.

1.2 Employees of US Trucks, US Jeeps, US Cruiserz, and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate in the competition.

2. Entry Method:

2.1 Customers will automatically receive one entry for every R200 spent on merchandise purchased from:

• www.ustrucks.co.za (US Trucks’ online store)
• US Trucks’ physical store
• Trade shows such as the Nampo agricultural show, where US Trucks is participatin

2.3 Proof of Payment for EFT Purchases: 

For customers who choose to make their purchases using Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), payment and proof of payment must be received by US Trucks no later than 31 October 2024. Customers paying via EFT must ensure that the payment reference or order number is clearly indicated during the transaction. POP can be emailed to: colleen@ustrucks.co.za

Failure to Provide Proof of Payment: Customers who opt to pay via EFT must promptly send proof of payment to US Trucks within the specified time frame. Failure to provide valid and verifiable proof of payment by the designated date will result in their exclusion from the competition. US Trucks shall not be responsible for any delays in payment processing that may occur.

3. Competition Duration:

3.1 The competition will start on 1st August 2023 and end on 31st October 2024 at 12:00 PM (South African Time)

3.2 Finalist Selection Period: Following the closing date of the competition, there will be a few weeks for the auditors, Integritas, to conduct a thorough audit of the entry list and ensure that all eligible purchases are included in the draw and that no entries exist for individuals who are not eligible to participate. During this period, Integritas will diligently verify and validate all entries to guarantee a fair and transparent selection process.

4. Prize:

4.1 The prize for the competition is a Toyota Land Cruiser 70 Series V6 5 Speed Automatic, referred to as “Kalahari Ferrari.”

5. Winner Selection:

5.1 The winner will be chosen through a two-step process:

• Step 1: Audit of Entries
  • US Trucks will engage Integritas, an independent auditing firm based in Richards Bay, to audit the list of entries.
  • Integritas will ensure that every eligible purchase is included in the draw and that no entries exist for any individuals ineligible to participate (e.g., employees of US Trucks or their direct family members).
• Step 2: Finalists Selection
  • Once the audit is completed, the list of allocated ticket numbers will be entered into the website “random.org.”
  • The website will randomly draw ten finalist numbers from the list.

5.2 The ten finalists will be notified by email or phone within seven (7) days of the draw.

6. Winner Determination:

6.1 US Trucks will organize a fun and entertaining event to determine the winner from the ten finalists. The details of the event will be announced on US Trucks’ website and social media channels.

7. Export and Warranty:

7.1 If the winner is from a neighboring country (Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, or Mozambique), the car will be awarded to the winner in South Africa.

7.2 Any costs and duties associated with exporting the vehicle to the winner’s country will be the sole responsibility of the winner.

7.3 The vehicle (Kalahari Ferrari) is supplied in a “voetstoots” condition, meaning it is sold as is, and no warranty will be provided by US Trucks once the vehicle is handed over to the winner.

8. Publicity:

8.1 By participating in the competition, the winner agrees to participate in any promotional activities, including but not limited to, interviews, photographs, and videos, as requested by US Trucks.

9. General Conditions:

9.1 US Trucks reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the competition in the event of any unforeseen circumstances or force majeure.

9.2 The competition is subject to all applicable laws and regulations.

9.3 By participating in the competition, participants agree to abide by these terms and conditions and any decisions made by US Trucks regarding the competition.

9.4 The winner will be solely responsible for any taxes, insurance, and other costs associated with the prize.

9.5 The winner agrees to indemnify and hold harmless US Trucks, its affiliates, employees, and agents from any claims arising out of the winner’s acceptance and use of the prize.
